ABOUT OUR BAND ORGANS
Equivalent to a 70-piece concert marching band, our Band Organs have over 600 different pipes. Working antique drums, bells and cymbals can be seen and heard. Theses organs perform a wide variety of Marches, Waltzes, and Ragtime from the 1800's up to the present. It plays domestic American tunes such as the ever popular patriotic Stars & Stripes Forever to European Strauss masterpieces. This 100% pneumatic system operates from the Wurlitzer music rolls.

For the past 100 years, Band Organs are only often seen in carousels and museums. With our priceless collection, the historical value is recreated for generations of the past, and creates special memories for the younger.

The units are completely self-contained in each of their unique housings that open fully on all four sides for parades and your special event. Some of the more unique presentations that our Band Organs have performed have been for numerous U.S. Presidents, Harvard’s Hasty Pudding, The Boston Marathon, Malcom Forbes, as well as frequent high-profile parades throughout the northeast region. An automated figurine of Paul Revere simulates a conductor of the band.

Worcester Sound & Lights has three units in it's inventory.
ABOUT OUR CALLIOPES
On July 4, 1856, the Calliope was debuted in our hometown and the city of it’s invention, Worcester, Massachusetts, by inventor, Joshua C. Stoddard. The Calliope is an air powered mechanical instrument, with dozens of brass pipes. Often associated with Mississippi steam boats, trains, and the circus, Worcester Sound & Lights has acquired two of these units into inventory over the past 25 years. It too, like the Band Organ, operates on a roll-system. However, this unit also has a keyboard which allows the unit to be played manually by various talents. Our Calliopes play a variety of tunes such as Circus Marches, Show tunes, and the Traditional Sing-a-Longs.
